Church Groups
A significant part of our church life and mission is carried out through the following church and community groups and activities.
Most group activities had to stop due to COVID19 except for some on-line activity. However as restrictions ease, group activities are gradually resuming.
- Fellowship Team organises social events, open to
church members and anyone from the local community (see
Events Diary page for forthcoming events).
- Bible Study Group meets every Thursday in the Session Room at 10.30 am for Coffee or Tea and chat followed by an hour
or so studying and discussing the topic for the day. After a time of prayer, meetings finish about 12 noon.
- Friendship Group (former Guild members) meets every second Monday at 2.00pm in the Church Hall. All are welcome.
- Coffee morning every Wednesday 10.00am to 12.00 noon in
the Church Hall. Everyone welcome. Tea and toast available from 9.00am during term time.
- Craft and Chatter Group meets fortnightly on Tuesdays from 2.00 to 4.00pm. Come along and bring your knitting, crochet or sewing with you!
- Pastoral Care Team assists minister and elders in ensuring
response to pastoral care needs.
- Members of the congregation hold services fortnightly at
Bandrum Nursing Home.
- Walking Group meets for walks usually on
first and third Saturdays of each month (contact us via the Contact Us page for up to date
details and current year’s programme).
Community Groups
We like to make the Church Hall available for the benefit of the community, and welcome enquiries from groups.
Some community groups already meet in the Church Hall:
- The Emma MacDonald School of Highland Dancing holds classes in the
Church Hall on Wednesdays. For details, contact
Emma MacDonald School of Highland Dancing on Facebook.
- Saline & District Heritage Society runs a programme of monthly speaker events in the Church
Hall through the autumn, winter and spring. In summer it uses the Session House in
Saline churchyard as a Mini Museum. For details see the Saline District Heritage Society website.
